Kaitlyn Roberts

I’m Kaitlyn, a Video Project Manager, Aspiring Producer, and Devoted Sunset Appreciator.

Since the dawn of time (i.e. when I was old enough to speak), my favorite question has been, “Why?”

So, why should you work with me?

For the past two years, I served as a Video Project Manager for a global creative advertising agency. Working with the talented team at the agency allowed me to take a deeper dive into the operations and needs required for video productions of varying sizes and demands. From the first discussions of desired client outcomes to final delivery, I led the team in producing a strong portfolio of impactful projects. My biggest responsibility was to simultaneously oversee the lifespan of multiple projects while maintaining smooth performances for each job. This entailed building budgets with producers, creating and managing post schedules for all team members, tracking hours and out of scope requests, developing delivery matrices, trafficking for broadcast, licensing, resourcing talent, final delivery quality control and much more.

Personally, I find collaboration is where the magic really happens. Organization is one of my primal needs and I am able to grasp new concepts quickly. In past reviews, supervisors noted that I am a tenacious worker and altruistically stubborn.

The Girl Scouts trained me well.

When I am part of a team responsible for telling the important stories of this world, that is when I feel most fulfilled. Working directly with clients while delegating tasks to internal team members is a communication method I execute comfortably. As a leader, I make sure to keep the needs of all team members in perspective. Video work is hard work, and it shows in the final product. Ultimately, I want my work to help tell a damn good story.

This is a standard that I first set for myself while studying at the University of Missouri where I earned my B.A. in Digital Storytelling with three minors in: Psychology, Information Technology, and Leadership and Public Service. My knowledge is applicable to a wide variety of industries and topics.

When not behind a camera, I’m more than likely telling someone to look at the sunset, picking up yet another seashell from the beach, talking about a book I just finished reading, or perfecting my chocolate chip cookie recipe. I love all things that involve creating, eating (I said what I said), and traveling.

If you are interested in working with me, I would love to connect with you and discuss all the great things we will accomplish together.
